» Processes / Chemical Treatment Process:
| TREATMENT |
MATERIAL |
ACTION |
| a) Degreasing |
Cold Rolled Steel and Aluminium |
Removes grease / oil and other contaminations |
| b) Grain Refining |
Zincal Iron only |
Eliminates the coarse crystalline Zincal coatings and promotes the formation of dense and finely crystalline phosphate coating |
| c) Phosphating Chromating |
Cold Rolled Steel and Zincal Iron Aluminium Only |
Converts the metal surface to non-metallic which prevents corrosion and increases adhesion and durability of paint. |
| d) Shield Chromating |
Cold Rolled Steel and Zincal Iron |
Increased corrosion resistance |
The chemically treated sheets are painted with special ‘Resin’ impregnated paints by ‘Roller Coating’ and not conventional spray painting.
The ‘RESINCOT’ Sheets are oven cured at about 250 °C for about 30 seconds, resulting in a painted surface which is hard yet flexible.
After the two coat painting (primer and top finish) and baking the continuous ‘RESINCOT’ Sheet is re-coiled.
As per the requirements of the customer, the ‘RESINCOT’ coils are cut into sheets of various roofing profiles. The fact that the ‘RESINCOT’ Sheets are ‘profiled after painting’ is a clear indication of the adhesiveness, hardness and flexibility of the paint film.
